Y My Advanced 21st Birthday Bash

i don't know how to go about blogging about my party, as it has been a really unforgettable, memorable and awesome party i ever had in my life. i just couldn't take my mind off it. :)
everything began with that huge disappointment of which CY has been assigned to do guard duty during my celebration. it turned out to be part of everybody's surprise plot one. i was really upset on Friday night, but just went along with my party plans. checked into the chalet at 3pm on Saturday afternoon with my family. and for that, i'm really thankful to Han De who offers to book this chalet at a much cheaper rate under his name. :)

we rented bikes, mahjong sets and waited for kengey and co. to arrive at 4ish. I'M SO TOUCHED BY EVERYTHING THEY HAVE DONE FOR ME!! from the decorations (p.s: i really love that balloon and flowers!) to ferrying CY into the chalet to all the surprises. no words can describe how glad i am to have all of you as my friends and how bad i'm feeling now for being such a rather bad friend in the past. i resolve to be a better friend from now onwards ok? i hope it's not too late. :) and i believe by saying 'Kengey and co' is abit unfair, so i'll name them all, but that doesn't mean the rest of my friends aren't important ok? thousand and millions of 'thank you' to kengey, li'e, puay siang, wei li , jie hao and buggy!

at about 5ish, everyone became so secretive about 'fetching buggy' or 'getting things from whitesands', so neth drove outta the chalet.. TO PICK CY UP! :D kengey was asking me to follow her to the main door, and there CY was, hiding. haha! :D and so that's surprise 1. i went to change, while while the rest began their mahjong session. :)
at about 6ish, my guests began coming in. and here comes surprise 2, which buggy was in it too. haha! they were telling me that they're giving me a LANCER 9961 as a gift, but because i've no license yet, so i'm only allowed to see the boot only. i was given the keys, and everyone pulled me to open up neth's car boot, and ta-dah, all the presents and flowers from them are inside and i've to open them one by one. two words - i'm touched. :) thank you NETH for that touching idea. haha!
after that, more of my relatives and friends came, ate, mingled, played mahjong, and etc. there's such a big crowd, that i'm feeling at a lost. i hope i wasn't a bad host. and thank you all for coming and all the well wishes on my guestbook. even some of my old friends and colleagues whom i've invited turned up too. :)
during the cake cutting session, we sure toooooook a long time taking pictures! hahaha. i'll make do with a few pictures later, because i'm still waiting for all the pictures from ALL the cameras. :D btw, i even had one professional photographer - buggy! thank you bugbug!!! :D
after cutting cake, kengey had another surprise for me. i had to light up some cloth which she used to form "Happy Birthday Jo" on a wire gauze. the effects were beautiful, and they even got CY to video it down. can't wait to look at the pictures and video! guys, send them to me alrights! so touched. thank you, keng. =) anyway, i think we shall wait for kengey to update her blog for her FULL description about everything. :)
some of my guests left at 10ish - 11ish, and there's only a small bunch who stayed and played mahjong throughout the whole night. i really really had alot of fun..... this is so unforgettable. :)

and so, this morning we checked out at 10am. on our way back, my dad's car's tyre punctured along TPE! we had to unload the boot, and my dad, bro and CY had to change the tyre along the road shoulder. with everyone totally zonked out, this sure is one tough shit. and my dad had to spend lots of $ on replacing the tyres. darn it. :/ ohwells, haha.
last but not least, thank you to those who turned up last night, and made my birthday celebration a memorable one. kudos to those who really put in the efforts to make me feel so touched. thank you for all the thoughtful gifts, ang paus and well wishes. appreciate it alot alot. this is the best birthday celebration i've ever had. really. :)

Y Happy 2008!

even though i haven't been doing much progressive stuffs over the weekend, i still can't help feeling like a walking zombie. i have insufficient SLEEP! =( i wasn't exactly HAHA happy, but at least i'm contented. =) let's see what have i been during the last few days of 2007.
Friday, 28/12/07: had a new hair cut, and coloured my hair at the salon nearby. it wasn't exactly a big change of style, but just a little fringe cut. haha! went to my colleague's wedding at Turf City in the evening. really glad to see my favourite neighbour once again! sat with her, and the rest of my colleagues and we had some fun eating and crapping together. i really love attending wedding functions, because the blissful faces of the couple really really warms my heart. and they have been together for 9 years.. awwwww. :)
took my colleague's car to newton before cabbing down to Seng Kang to CY's friend's place for mahjong. or rather, i watched CY and his friends played throughout the night. i only helped CY played a few games. and guess what? i sat it through with them till 6am in the morning. i'm amazed by my own patience. haha!
Saturday, 29/12/07: slept in till late afternoon, before CY and i head out to order my birthday cake. teeheehee. although there are some things here and there which kinda made me NOT looking forward to my birthday anymore, i'll still try my best to be happy and contented. :) after ordering my cake, which looks kinda bimbotic-ly sweet, CY and i took a bus to Changi Airport for Popeye's dinner.
despite being suuuuuuuuuuperrrrrr tired, we hadn't wanted to end our SATURDAY so early. and so, guess what? we got 2 mahjong 'legs' for an overnight session at my place. i got yun and CY got his friend, zheng wen. we started our games at 12am, and ended at 7am. HAHAHA! i swear my eyes were closing during the last few rounds. DAMN TIRED! as expected, i lost money. CY was the sole BIG winner. haha, still good enough. HOOOORAY! :)
Sunday, 30/12/07: didn't do much, except hanging out with CY at his place, watching shows and pigging out, before i head back home.
Monday, 31/12/07, NYE: went to work for half day. company has got buffet lunch, before everybody's off from 1pm onwards. went to meet CY after work, and dong joined us last minute. the 3 of us head to kengey's place for MAHJONG again. LOL. CY and i shared, and we played with kengey, neth and dong. had so much fun laughing with them, and guess what? CY and i were the SOLE winner that day. LOL.
waited for jie hao to come over, before leaving kengey's place for our celebration. dong went to meet his friends, whereas the rest of us went to meet tat loon at Marina Bay. we had steamboat dinner! haha. so nice and fun eating with my friends and CY. i bet kengey had the most fun fighting with those prawns. hahaha!
went City Hall after dinner. despite the terrible crowds, we wanted to catch the fireworks display so badly too. felt so safe with CY's protection. :) we managed to find a rather good spot to watch the display. it's practically right above our heads! i swear it was so breathtakingly beautiful! :) hmm, let's all book a hotel room nearby next year to catch the display instead. free from rubbing and buaing then! haha.
squeezed through the crowds to the main road after that. when i said squeeze, it's really squeezing! luckily we manage to stick together as a group most of the times. haha! walked to Boat Quay, where we manage to take a rest. kengey, jie hao and neth head home, whereas i followed CY to meet his friends at the pubs along Circular road. his friends were pub jumping between 2 pubs, so i just tagged along. CY's friend, ah zhi (yun! the one whom we thought was QUIET during the last meet up!), "forced" me to drink 2 martell on the rock and some with mixers, and thank god i managed to stay sober. or rather, i was quiet throughout, because.. haha, CY knows it best. :)
hanged out till 5ish before CY and i walked to Merchant Court hotel to get a taxi. so difficult to hail a cab man... anyway, i've no pictures for NYE, because we were either too busy eating (steamboat) or too sweaty (rubbing and buaing with the crowds). haha.
thanks for being the best thing that happened to me in 2007. and hope it'll be the same for 2008, 2009, 2010 and so forth. Happy new year, my dear. i love you. :)

Y SIAN-ED.
i was on cloud 9 at first yesterday, and soon was thrown to hell at night. Labels: Family/Friends, My Zhu Tao, Whinings/iRant
went Ubi Driving Centre to cancel my TP test date in the afternoon, and i was thinking since i'm at that area, why not just hop on to a bus to meet CY at his training centre at Kaki Bukit to go home together? i had thought the bus will stop somewhere near the place, but god knows it was at some really deserted place. i walked through some industrial area, pass by some blangadeshi and still can't find the place! i was told the training centre's near the prison school, but i don't even see any prison school! i saw some army trucks turning into this street, which i followed suit. saw an super uphill slope which i dread walking, so i asked some passerby for directions and the uncle told me its at the other end of the road which will take me about 20 minutues to walk there. wanted to turn back, but i was in the middle of no where loh. in the end, i hopped on a cab to 'hunt' for the place as the uncle don't really know where is it too. then when i finally found it, he dropped me right at the gate. i wanted to walk to the main road, as i thought it won't be nice to be there for CY's friends or instructors to see me, but i dared not move an inch. know why? 'cause there's dogs!!!! sigh. in the end, i hid somewhere near the bushes and waited. saw a pool of green a short while later. lots of 'wooooo', 'weeee' and 'ahhhh' when they saw buggy walking towards me. they had thought i was waiting for buggy, but buggy explained and say i'm the guy at the back de girlfriend. then CY walked towards me, another rounds of 'wooooo', 'weeee' and 'ahhh' again. -_- sigh, not my fault ok. it's the dogs' fault.
in the evening, CY and i went Partyworld @ Int' Building and sang from 9pm - 12am. he went to meet his friends to Zouk, whereas i met yun and froggie to DXO. i just wanted to hang out till late, since CY has got programs, i didn't want to club at all. went in for the free drinks, and didn't any vibes to rub or bua at all. the 3 of us just stood there and moved a little. not even half hour later, we took our drinks and went level 2 to sit and chill instead. caught up a little over there, then gave up screaming our lungs over the loud music and head out at 2ish. went HK cafe @ Marina Square for supper after that. ate and crapped till 4ish before cabbing home.
sigh. sigh. sigh.
i don't know what's the appropraite word to describe what i'm feeling right now. just feeling very @#@%#$^ right now.

Y I somehow find, you and i collide.
before i blogged about my weekend, here's a shoutout to my bestfriend, li'e. Labels: Family/Friends, My Zhu Tao
please contact me asap! i've been trying to reach you for so many days, and yet i can't seem to get you. where have you been?! we used to talk about everything everyday, but what's wrong with you now? sms you, no reply. call you, no answer. call your house, you're not in. where are you! i hope your sister remembers to ask you to get back to me. sigh, i've so much to tell and ask you. please tell me you're fine. =( thank god you're fine! =D
anyhows. CY is on course right now, so he don't have to book in or book out of camp for one month. hahahahaha. 8-5 on weekdays and 8-1 on saturday for a month! shiok or not! :x right after his first day of course on last friday, he joined yun, froggie and i for mahjong at my place. that night was really crazy! we spent about 5 hours and yet we did not finish that one and only round we played. we wasted too much time waiting, laughing, and laming around. i swear that night had been pretty fun. thanks dear, for playing with us, even though you were feeling dead tired. :)
and on saturday, after CY's course, i went to meet him at his place before going out together in the evening. head to Bugis for some shopping together, then roamed around thinking where to spend the night. we checked out CHIMES, which i think it's a pretty nice place. had wanted to sing K, but it was too last minute, hence no more rooms. had wanted to catch a movie, but it's either the show times seems odd or tickets sold out. haha! in the end, we settled at Acid Bar to chill. there's a 'live band' performing, and i think they were pretty young and talented. i like the female vocalist's low voice. wooo. :)
as for today, i went to my cousin, Ai Ling's, wedding lunch buffet held at Yishun Safra. i think that place's pretty cool. if only i've knew it earlier, i'd probably book their function room for my birthday instead of at Aloha. it's always heartwarming to see the blissful faces of the newly-wed. that's one of the reasons why i loved working as a banquet waitress in the past. it's really a very nice feeling. :) can't wait to attend my other 2 cousins' wedding next year. HAHAHA! =)
time to study a little, and start working on my essays.
booooooo. it's back to work tomorrow. :(

Y Loving you is like a dream.
the clock seems to be ticking away at 55436547658684 km/hr, because it's the end of another splendid weekend again. and there goes CY, back in the camp. booo. :( Labels: Family/Friends, My Zhu Tao
caught this with CY last friday. :) if you're in for a good laugh, go catch this. pretty heartwarming storyline, starring THE ROCK. that intimidating bod of his. feeeewheeetx~! lol.
been devoid of sleep the past few days, sleeping for an average of less than 5 hours each night. let's just hope i won't turn into a walking zombie tomorrow. anyhows, CY joined my family and i for my mom's birthday dinner at Upp Thomson on saturday night. teehee. it's really great to see the way everyone bonded so well over dinner. :)
after the dinner, my dad sent CY and i to AMK, where we left for our own activities. i was supposed to meet my poly classmates at 10.30pm, whereas CY is meeing his friends at 10pm. i had wanted to look for wei liang and martin first, but CY got me to tag along with him till it's time for me to meet my friends instead. when it's about time, i took the train to Clarke Quay to wait for my friends. we had a mini class gathering planned and organised by neeky. only froggie, wei liang, martin, christopher, myself and of cause neeky were able to make it.
we settled at this KTV Pub along Circular Road - Bedroom. ordered a bottle of chivas, then we sang and drank the night away. CY came and join us at 1ish. chilled out till 3ish, and we had supper at chinatown before heading home. haha, it was a great night. caught up so much with everyone else, updating each other about our lives, cracking lame jokes, and talking about how CY and i met, etc etc. haha. :)
and today, nothing much was done, except spending time with each other before its time for CY to book in. hee. simple as it may be, but it brings out the ultimate bliss i've ever felt for the longest time. thank you for being ever so patient with me, pampering and taking care of me. still the same old cliched words, but they were said from the bottom of my heart - i love you. how much do i love you? you may ask. nothing else can justify how much you mean to me right now, but yeah, action definitely speaks louder than words. :)

Y Twinkle in my eye.
i'm getting so hyped up, as the day CY gonna return is approaching!!! teehee. :D Labels: Family/Friends
anywhooos. i had McMuffin breakfast specially delivered to my doorstep by my bestfriend this morning. how sweet right? :) li'e and i had breakfast at my place together, prepared together, before cabbing down to this place where she needed my support. i'm a *ahem* supportive *ahem* friend of hers, that's why i'm so willing to sacrifice my saturday morning just for her.
while waiting for her, i entertained myself with CY's PSP. haha! i seriously think the puzzle bubble is darn addictive. :x we then waited to be joined by yun at 12ish. meanwhile, we roamed around the career exhibition at suntec, where i met KER KER! i think only tiffy or kengey remembers him. initially i thought he won't be able to regconise me, but man, he actually came up and talked to me. he didn't changed much, 'cept that i think he have put on some weight. haha!
together with yun, we took a bus to orchard to meet dong after that. 3 girls accompanied the big guy dong shopping! hahahahaha. while waiting for him, i took a shut-eye at Subway (@ Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade). darn sleepy. zzz.
li'e and i head back to my place at 7ish, where we had some girly fun. watching tv, chit-chatting, crapping, singing, surfing net, webcaming etc. love it when i can totally be myself in front of her. irritating her with 'conrad' and 'playpark' while she's using my laptop. farting at her. digging nose in front of her. and whathaveyou. WAHAHAHA! okie lah, i'm kidding about farting and digging nose lah. i'm not that disgusting ok. :p

it's quality time with my family earlier. i think the car came at the right time, and i can't wait to get my hands on the wheels and my feet on the pedals once i passed my TP. i can't wait. i can't wait to drive my boy to camp, to anywhere and everwhere. you're my motivation now, love. :) Labels: Family/Friends, My Zhu Tao
went rounding to the east today. to the airplanes viewing mall at Changi Airport T1 & T2, hoping to look at A380, but to no avail. moved on to Jalan Kayu for prata supper aftermath. it was a great night out with my family. and i simply couldn't take my mind off CY. how i wish i could just hopped on a ferry at Changi and surprised him at Tekong. HAHA, dream on! like as if i can enter right. :P
i was filled with nostalgia after reading tiffy's thoughts. hey girl, i missed those days too. how we sang the infamous fat-fat-chicken-wang-toilet-bowl-explode song. how we passed small notes in class. how i wrote about the pimple at chicken wang's armpits on my history textbook and get caught for it. how we quarreled over trivial matters. how we had a heart-to-heart talk under the moonlight during our class chalet. how we celebrated zi wei's birthday. how we wrote letters to each other, which we've recently upgraded to emailing. haha! lots and lots of memories. i missed all that, and most importantly, i missed you! and i'm worried for you. i'm sorry that i haven't got the opportunity to pay you a visit at KL. :( hang in there, darling girl. all these nightmares will be over soon. let me and the rest of the gals spur you on! jiayou o! and keep the emails going. :)
sigh, i'm getting so sick and tired of work nowadays. i dread going to work everyday. i think i'll dread work even more after the 25th. take me with you, favourite neighbourrrrrrrr!!! :( but well, i wish you all the best with your new job. really really really appreciate what you've taught me all these months. i'm gonna stand up on my own now. not gonna let that little miss take advantage of me anymore. and you know what, i think i'll really miss you loads. :(
i don't know why, but i'm feeling really moodless right now. its the weekend, and now, my weekend seems so meaningless without my boy. :( okay, i'm not saying it's meaningless as in meaningless, but it's just that, i really miss CY alot. i've so much to tell him! i have that "need" to talk to him, you see. haha! i've practically no mood for anything this whole week, but just .... looking forward to his return from the forest, from all the 'kaka'. and i believe he misses me as much as i missed him lah. hoh dear? wahahaha. mondayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! :D

Y Everything means nothing, if i ain't got you..
something hilarious happened in Selarang Camp today. alright, maybe it's just me who can't stop laughing at it, but yeah. lol! Labels: Family/Friends, My Zhu Tao
wei liang called me all of a sudden, then the background was super noisy. we exchanged a few words, then i've another incoming call, from Buggy. both of them were in their bunks at camp, and they were trying to "confirm" the Joanne they know is the same person. then i was talking to the 2 of them, was telling wei liang about CY, who was in the same platoon as both of them.
HAHA. after awhile, CY walked past their bunk and wei liang called out to him (he's still on the phone with me), and asked for his I/C number (i've no idea for what!). and wei liang began telling me all sorts of rubbish. LOL! i swear it was really hilarious! especially about the kimchi noodle and FHM magazine. haha. :)
damn, singapore.is.indeed.shrinking! LOL
anywhoos. shopping with the girls just makes my day. :)
okay, laugh. -_-

lately, i don't know why but i'm just not in the mood for work. and i'm not into sleeping early anymore. howwwwwww! anyway, i can't wait for this Friday. :)

Y 'Cause everywhere I go, there's a love song that reminds me of you.
i had a pretty exciting driving lesson this afternoon! haha. i usually had my lessons around Yishun, but today i got to drive from Yishun all the way to Ubi, as i requested to be able to familiarise my test routes. i think the experience was pretty alright, just that the traffic over there was really heavy. plus there's so many road works over there! an intimidating ride indeed. i'm kinda worried now. my TP's next week! i hope Martin's tips will come into handy then. i think, if i can pass my TP at Ubi, i'll be a daredevil after that. LOL. lots of luck for me alright? :) :) :)
came home to rest after my lesson, before meeting my friends at Plaza Singapura in the evening. had asked our usual clique out for dinner, but only wei liang, martin, li'e and i were able to make it. had dinner at Ajisen, caught up abit, walked around town, shopped abit, and called it a day at 11ish. it felt wonderful to be able to see my "nan ren" and "ma tian tian". hahaha! and i think wei liang still looked as great with his botak head. :)
it had been a simple yet fulfilling meet up with them, and i can't wait to meet up with all of them more often next time. o yea, li'e and i bumped into Sherla on our way to meet the guys. were just talking about her with Lyehong last weekend, and we saw her again today. haha! :)

Y All the play fightin', all the flirtatious disses.
i've ditched my bimbotic curls to a pretty short straight mid-length mane. i've missed my straight hair so so so very much! i had wanted a shorter bob or something, but 'cause of some forced restrictions, i can't have short hair for the time being. this is very sad. but still, i feel my hair now is still short, compared to my previous long long length. this was the length before i had my curls. and now it's very much shorter. i've no picture of my new hair yet tho. :)
and so, it's farewell to my curls for good. i'm leaving some unwanted memories behind when my hair falls. move on, i tell myself. :)
yup, i think my stylist, Ernest, from Kimage @ Northpoint did a great job to my hair, although this burnt a big hole off my pocket. $215 for this hairdo. ouch. :( and i think i wanna colour my hair. soon.

what the heck am i doing online at this hour on a Sunday night?! i'm uber sleepy right now, and i dread going to work so so so much. how i wish i can skip work tomorrow and sleep longer, but i've lots of tasks on hand to finish! i seriously need a long break. anyhow, i just got home from The Chevrons. had a pretty awesome night out with my family and relatives. cousin derrick booked the Karaook room and we sang to our fills.
i was never a fan of Beer, but tonight i had a glass. how ah? i find myself getting more of an alcoholic now. this is very bad. took derrick's Lancer home after that. i really adored derrick's ride, as he zhng it till so damn chio! with all the neon lights, dvd player, etc. whoa, we were fascinated! oh, even cousin stanley bought his very own ride, suzuki swift, recently. and my parents were wondering when they could be like my aunt, getting to sit in their kids' ride. well, i'm still working hard towards that. :)
