Y Class Photoshoot

it has been a rather fruitful day today. when i'm at work this morning, florence guided me with the intranet self-services before i was left in front of the computer doing my eLearning tests. i get sleepy all the time, but i managed to complete 5 of the tests. then at 12.45pm, i went off to meet li'e on the train towards Clementi to head back to school. :)

i feel so good to be walking around in the campus again. haha! went to meet the rest of my classmates while waiting for our turn for the photoshoot at eGarage. i'm glad that most of us turned up, and those who did not turn up had valid reasons. ohwells, this is so much better. i realised when my class wanna be 'on', they will be really 'on'. and whenever they're 'not on', they're really very 'not on'. lol!

anyhoos. the people who turned up today were lye hong, froggie, ain, rahim, martin, jason, jian wen, danny, han de, li'e and myself. neeky and wei liang had medical check-up for their NS, so they couldn't make it. sheena had to work and yi peng was sick, so they didn't make it as well. nonetheless, all of us had fun taking our class photos. and btw, some of us were really surprised that ain and rahim came as well! :D o yea, we've invited our mentor, nana, to join in our photoshoot as well. and he's so damn funny!

all of us were damn stiff for the formal shot! hahaha. but the informal shot was soooo much better. we had 3 tries for both. the first try; we had the guys and nana seated on the sofa, whereas the girls stood behind doing a 'twist' sign above nana's head. second try; something similar as the first, i think. third try, which was the one we selected; the guys and nana stood behind whereas the girls sat on the sofa. or rather, all the girls sat except me. li'e suggested and forced me to lie on their laps and pose. other than my weird pose, jian wen was fondling han de's BOOBS (if he has them) during the shot. hahahahahahaha! we chose that picture for printing in the end. i can't wait to see how the picture's gonna turn out to be. LOL!

heh. since all of us gathered today, we tried to persuade more people to attend the prom. we suceeded, and managed to get jian wen and han de to join, and now our table is full!!! hooooray. :D hahaha. we girls were even discussing the prepping for prom, and had decided to go do some homework regarding the makeup and hairstyling pricing. haha! we'll start prepping after CNY, i guess. :)

o yea, lye hong was really sweet today. she passed me one stack of magazine cut-out! there's articles/pictures/posters of Fahrenheit, Mike he, Rain, Hyun Bin, etc. hahaha, she's so sweet lah! :)

after some catching up, i head back home straight. receive my cheque book today, and i'm so gonna apply an ATM card some day. took a short nap aftermath. went to Chong Pang with my family and angelia after dinner, as my brother is upgrading his mobile plan. teehee! 5 days later will be my turn, as my mom's plan can be upgraded already and she's letting me to choose my phone first. my own plan can only be upgraded in March, then my mom will choose her phone at that time.

i'm considering between SE K618i and SE K800i. or Nokia 7373, but that only has a pretty outlook, and the function kinda sucks. ohwells, will see how again. gonna say goodbye to my bimbotic phone soon. haha! :)

Y I missed stayin' up late..

this may sound absurd, but i kinda missed stayin' up late doing things i like. i've been watchin' drama and tv shows since 10pm after my Yoga session. i'm able to stay up late tonight because tomorrow i'll be having a half day off, due to my photoshoot at school. all of us ought to thank li'e for taking the trouble to coordinate the whole class and manage to persuade most of them to join the photoshoot. ohwells, this should be jason's job, but i don't know how it ended up to become li'e's job instead. anyhoo, we're going for the 2pm slot and i'm pretty excited about seeing my girls again. :)

3rd day of work today (tuesday) is pretty much similar to the previous day, as i was once again attached to michelle. i find myself able to click with her better than the rest. i think it's because our age gap is the nearest already. she's 22 this year btw. after tagging behind her for 3 days, i was able to understand her duties pretty well. i just need practices and i'll get the hang of everything soon. i hope.

after work, i came home to shower and took my dinner before i head out for my Yoga class. before that, i went to book an appointment for my CNY manicure and pedicure. teehee, i can't wait for CNY. not because it's CNY, but because of the holiday. even though CNY has been pretty much boring since years ago. Zzz..

riight, i think i better go snooze right now. goodnights! :)

Y not that simple

second day of work has been pretty much fruitful, because i learnt more stuffs today. i joined the morning briefing for the first time and i was introduced to everyone. then i was attached to michelle the whole day. haha! the most interesting part today was that i get to understand more about the cashbox deposit procedures, and that is one of the easier stuff to know.

i've been busy taking down notes as michelle taught me new things, and i sure have loads to study before my 3weeks orientation training begins on this thursday. :) before i knocked off at 6pm, agnes talked to me about some stuffs, hence i was released slightly later and got home slightly later too. :)

and btw, this is how i looked in office wear. lol.

sigh, it's not as simple as everybody thought. not as easy too, but just smile and everything will be fine. all thanks to li'e who said that, or rather, as quoted from the show - Smile Pasta, so i managed to come thus far. riight, its only 2 days so there's still a long way to go. i can do it, and prove everyone who looked down on me wrong!

To be flexible with all the classes we have decided to let you choose the timeslot between 11am - 5pm which your class would be taking the photo shoot.

Please consult with your class before selecting a timeslot, making sure everyone can turn up for the photoshoot. The time slots are as followed:

Y Shopping! :D

teehee, today's a happy day. :)

went shopping at bugis followed by toa payoh central with my family and angelia. my dad only joined us after work at toa payoh central only though. we went to the temple before shopping around. bugis street was sardine packed with people shopping for their CNY loots. haha, but we managed to purchase some loots over there and at bugis junction.

at about 7pm, then we went to meet my dad at toa payoh central where we upgraded my dad's phone. he traded his old phone to SE810i. haha, and now my dad's totally obsessed with his new toy. went yum cha at the coffeeshop before heading back home.

all of us had our fair share of loots today. i managed to buy 2 tops, 2 pants, 1 bag and 1 new nail colour. most of my stuffs were for work though, 'cause i needa be in office wear for 3 months before i'm given my own sets of uniforms. :)

teehee, damn hyper right now. shall go calm myself down by watching some shows.
my weekends are so precious to me now. :)

Y First day at OCBC.

teehee, my first day at work has been pretty interesting today. i went to the HR to report to Jane at 9am, whereby she briefed me some details and gave me some documents to study. later on, i was asked to report to Agnes at the centre branch downstairs for work.

before lunch, i was attached to Florence whom brought me around meeting my collegues and knowing the area. on first impression, i think everyone seems nice and friendly. had my lunch break at 11am (all our lunch breaks are different daily and everyone takes turn to leave) today, and i roamed around Raffles area on my own. i ate alone at the food centre! hahaha, i dont usually like to eat out alone, but from now onwards, i wanna be independent. unless, i've a collegue with the same lunch break as me one day then i don't mind eating together. haha.

after lunch, i was attached to Michelle, who's merely a few years older than me. she graduated from Ngee ann last year only. haha! she's really nice to me, and was really patient at teaching me stuffs. i followed her around for the rest of the day, learning her work duties as a sales support. who knows one day i might have to do her kind of job right? haha, her duties were mainly tedious, yet interesting to me. it's like auditing to me though.

wells, i have to be familiar with 3 computer system so that it helps with my teller job. i believe i'll be further taught about it during my orientation training on the 1st feb. :) for the time being, i don't have to work on saturday, but after my confirmation, i'll have to work half day on alternate saturdays. and my daily working hours will be 8.30am to 6pm. lol! o yea, i just merely brought up my Prom night to florence, and she's really nice to straight away give me an off day on that day because i saw her marking it down on the schedule immediately. how nice. :)

anyhows, i find it really different to be working as a full-timer now. i have my own staff pass (with my own picture and employee number on it), own locker, own uniforms (which i'll only get after my confirmation) own everything! haha. and the happiest thing is that, my very first payday will be before this coming CNY! great. :)

alright, i have a few things to study before my orientation training. i better start working hard, and hope to get my confirmation 3 months later. :) i'm really contented right now, so hope everything else will go as i plan. all the best to me. ^^

uh uh. jane just called me while shopping at CWP with my mom earlier on to inform me that my first day of work has been postponed to friday instead of tomorrow. haha, it's good actually, so i can rest 1 day before i start work. i've told my family the good news, and they're really happy for me. i hope this is really what i want. :)

i wanna continue watching my Hongkong drama - Truimph in the Skies, now. toodles~ :)

Y I'm employed! :)

good news! i am employed! yes, the interview was a huge success. this is gonna be my first ever full-time job, and the most exciting part about it is that, i'm starting work tomorrow! "thats fast", people say. yes, i thought so too! but heck, as long as i got a job! :)

this morning i took the train together with my brother (he's on the way to work), and i alighted at Raffles Place. the morning people at Raffles makes me feel really tiny and intimidated. haha, they're all dressed in their business wear rushing to work. haha! anyhows, i tried locating the building that i wanna head to, and i realised it's only a less than 5 minutes walk there. i was early, so i sat outside BK to people-watch before heading up to the HR department at the 40th floor.

whoa, i wasn't the only one there for an interview, and there's many others candidates waiting to be interviewed. i submited all my documents for verification, and was directed to a room to watch a video on the introduction of being a bank teller. later on, i sat outside and waited till about 10am before Ms Jane directed me to a private room for the interview.

i was feel darn nervous! i applied everything i learnt about formal interviews in school to today's interview. i tried to speak as confidently as possible. initially, she told me the challenges i'm gonna face and i kinda got scared. after the interview, i was asked to wait outside again.

after about 15 minutes later, Ms Jane came back and told me the good news - that i'm employed! i was taken aback, because i had thought i'm not gonna get the job anyhow. whoa, that's fast. everything's happening so fast. before signing the 'Job Offered' agreement, i told her frankly what are my fears then she assured me that there'll be on-the-job trainings and courses for me before i'm able to be a real bank teller. haha! i signed the agreement after the assurance.

will be starting work tomorrow onwards. at 9am, and at the central branch which is at Raffles. o yea, i'm working for overseas-chinese banking corporation limited (OCBC). haha! :) i'm gonna be part of the Raffles morning people tomorrow onwards! lol.

i'm so excited, and scared at the same time. but i really hope things will be different for me after my 3months probation. :)

and from today onwards, i gotta adjust my life back to normal and no more staying up till the wee hours anymore. because i believe i will need alot of energy and concentration for my job, as it involves money. gasps* i hope my hand would shake too much when i'm counting money. :)

and looks like my Taiwan getaway trip gotta be on hold already. LOL.

oh no, i really feel everything's moving too fast.. how?

Y Graduated LO~~

wheeeeee!!!! i'm free at last! i'm done with my FYP already, and it's time for me to sit back and relax a little before welcoming my future with both my arms wide open. hahaha! :D

today i dressed in my all-black formal wear and head to school at 11am. met up with li'e and lee hong at Rhymes to catch up a little. went off with yun at 12pm, as li'e is having her VIVA presentation in Rhymes. i went to the eGarage to relax abit before going to my VIVA venue at level 6 15 minutes before 1pm. i went into the lab and set up my laptop and the projector while waiting for mr lim and mr lum.

mr lim came in at 1pm and started calming me down by giving me some tips here and there. mr lum came in shortly after, and i began with my presentation. damn, i was trembling so much lah! i tried to go as slow and steady as possible during my speech, and went on with the program demostration. and at this crucial period of time, i discovered a new bug in my program. and then, my second marker, mr lum, took this opportunity to bombard me with questions. ARGH!

mr lum just loves prompting me questions on my Database, and thankfully i managed to answer most of them. but there was one part i think i didn't do a good job in answering him. :( everything ended way too early after 30 minutes (instead of 50)!! i was asked to wait outside while the 2 testers discussed some stuffs. li'e was waiting for me outside, and she knew i was scared and gave me a hug! omg, thanks girl!!! that helps alot. :) and danny came aftermath, as his VIVA was 1hour after mine.

right, mr lum left the room about 10minutes later. i was asked to go back to the room, where mr lim started debriefing me some stuffs. at least what he said this time round sound so much nicer. he told me i'll still be able to pass my FYP. YES! at least that's something nice to hear, and i hope he wasn't lying. ohwells, results will only be released in March anyway. meanwhile, i'll just enjoy and hopefully get a job soon.

went to reformat my laptop at the Support Centre aftermath. the procedures took me hours! luckily li'e and lee hong came and keep me company there, if not i'm gonna doze off at anytime. haha! i got everything done at 6ish before leaving school.

waited for the damn 852 for so long, and there was a massive jam (peak hour) along the road. hence, i got home only at 8pm! and my mom was already about to leave for Yoga lessons. in the end, she told me to rest at home and have my dinner. so yay, i gave Yoga lesson a miss today. :(

wells, i hadn't had a chance to rest at all the moment i got home. after my dinner+bath, my insurance agent drop by my house to brief me some stuffs, till only 10pm then i'm able to sit down in front of my laptop. phew* been installing and restoring my files back into my laptop since then. decided to continue with the rest tomorrow after my interview. am totally beat right now. gonna turn in pretty soon. teehee, wish me luck for my interview aiight? :)

Y RAIN'S Coming Concert

i wasn't a huge fan of Jung Jihoon (or better known as RAIN) previously, and was even ANTI-RAIN at a period of time. unlike kengey who got hooked immediately after watching one of his drama - Full House (the show which i found so-so only), i was really anti him back then. i started to change my mind after listening to his "I like you again", which was the first song of his i fell in love with. and then, after seeing him in real life and so upclose at the Changi Airport last thursday, i got hooked immediately. and after his LIVE concert last night at the Indoor stadium, i almost died, literally.

the concert was AWESOME! very impressive. my first ever concert experience, and it left me an impression which was really unforgettable. the opening was perfect and the finale was breathtaking. the effects were good and RAIN was good. despite his injured left arm, we can really still see his efforts and determination to do it well. kengey and i got a pretty good view, tho it was still far. but heh, our binoculars came in handy too! lol.

RAIN is really a sexy and cute icon. i sure can't get enough of his hot bod! wahahahaha. :P i didnt really expressed (shouted) much during the concert, as i was concentrating on his moves and... HOT BOD! :x hahahaha! and now, i totally understand why he's all women's wildest fantasy! lol. and i think those fans who caught the towels (which he used to wipe his sweat) and bouquet of roses RAIN threw offstage were damn lucky! and those who got to shake his hand AFTER the concert were dammit lucky as well. lol.

the 2 hours concert just went by this way, and tonight RAIN's departing already. i think i'll continue to cultivate my love for him after yesternight. he's really amazing! :)

the only minus about the concert was the fans club members. they were horrible, terrible and incorrigible. the way they squeezed and pushed to get his merchandize is really... urgh. nah, i didn't get any of his merchandize because i don't need them. lol. and o yea, RAIN really killed all kind of people, from young to old, women to men, small to big, etc. i see all kinds of fans of all ages queueing and shouting! it's really.. whoa. :)

it's really a great experience at the Indoor stadium last night. i might consider getting the Concert DVD once its out, because this is however, my first concert experience. kudos to RAIN and his wonderful team! :D

and lastly, do not believe in what the Singapore Media reported about him in the papers, because they were unlikely to be true. :) that is what i happened to believe so.

alright, time to be serious after 1 whole eventful week. there's 2 really important thing gonna take place the next 2 days which gonna determine my future. tomorrow will be my FYP Viva presentation which weighs 50%, and whether i'm graduating or not will depend on tomorrow's presentation already. and on wednesday, will be my first FORMAL job interview and i hope i will be able to get in. wish me all the best for the next 2 days aiight? :)

Y Advance birthday celebration for my Grandson. :)

heh, met up with the usuals for mahjong this afternoon. before that, kengey, neth and and i went to CWP to get jie hao's birthday present and cake. we bought a man master's leather belt and a breadtalk cake for him. wells, his birthday is this coming monday and since most of us won't be free then so we made it an advance celebration. jie hao should feel fortunate to have his 'MAs' to dote on him so much. ah ma (me), mama (kengey) and nai ma (neth). LOL!

tsk, head back to kengey's crib aftermath. waited for jie hao before we began with our rounds. kengey's friend, elson, joined us aftermath. we played three and a half round in all, and my total winning today was $11. not bad eh? woots!!! :D

since it was pouring outside, we ordered mac delivery for dinner which was ~!#$%^& because they left out my nuggets and fries!!!! boooo. i was totally famished, and couldn't wait any longer. i nibbled abit of neth's and elson's fries and wings here and there. then i'm full already. hahaha! gave my nuggets to neth in the end. let him fat alone. :x

guess what? we surprised jie hao with his cake after dinner! he looked shocked (well, guess he can express it better than i do). hahaha! it was fun making him pick out the candle butt with his ~~tongue~~mouth and snapping pictures. teehee. :) ohwells, i hope he likes the belt we gave. :)

continued with our mahjong aftermath till 11pm, and my dad came and pick me up. i love it when my dad has a car! :DDD it's a company car by the way, and he'll have it till after CNY!! hooo. :D

i bet kengey won't be able to sleep tonight, as we're gonna get high with RAIN at the indoor stadium tomorrow! o yeahhhh~ :D

i thought Prom is a time when all of us get together one 'last' time, and its like a graduation to us? but why is it only this few of us are enthu about it?

why do i feel disappointment when i got these replies?
this is OUR prom, ngee ann ICT year 3's prom, not MY prom, not JOANNE's prom.

well, the only reason that they don't sound enthu about it that i can think of is that, the 3 years as classmates/schoolmates meant nothing to them.

we need 10 people so that we can book one whole table, instead of buy individual tickets with everyone dispersed everywhere in the ballroom. however, we've only 7 of us confirmed their attendance.

sigh.

Y Rain's Arrival.

teehee, i'm joining in the Rain-crazed crowds pretty soon.

know why?
because i just caught a glimpse of Rain at Changi Airport! lolololol.

kengey and i wanna know how's the feeling is like to actually chase a star, hence we made this decision to "fetch" rain at the airport upon his arrival earlier on. HAHA! hmm, should we head down to see Fahrenheit next week too? ohmy Wuzun~ :x

we head down to the airport together with 2 of kengey's new friends at 8ish with kengey behind the wheel. the way to the airport was something new, because we were all the way "following the signs". haha!

had our dinner at Popeye's, then went to the viewing mall to see see rook rook, before going to the T1 arrival hall to await Rain's arrival. it was known that his flight will touch down at 11.56pm or something, but the crowd's already there way before that.

meanwhile, we took some pictures and made some new friends. hahahaha!

we waited and waited, and i found a really high and good spot. i stood there for about an hour till my knees are aching! i'm just hoping to capture a good photo of Rain, but sigh...
everyone stood whenever there's screaming and shrieking of all the fans. but there were quite a number of false alarms tho. haha! you should check out the crowds. horrible!

things got even more messy when Rain really arrived. 12.20am thereabout. screams and shrieks everywhere! omigod. i tried to capture the best picture, but to no avail. he's in none of my pictures! i swear i had the perfect view, but my camera's transition is dammit slow!!! so i didn't manage to capture his killer smile when he's just right in front of me! and i'm standing so high, so no one is blocking at all! :(

the security was so tight, and the bodyguards were blocking everyone's view! within seconds, Rain's boarded his car (SFW 383 C) and vrooom, he disappeared. :(

BUT! i managed to stare at his smiles and waves for few seconds, so i had them etched in my mind. who knows after watching his concert this sunday, it'll be etched in my heart instead. WAHAHAHAHA! kengey, i'm joining youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~ :)

LOL! kengey drove us home aftermath. o yea, we even bumped into Pamela, our MSL junior. the woman who will take sick leave from school just to chase ENERGY back in those days. lol. she still hasn't changed much. haha.

damn, i'm looking forward to the concert this sunday already. how i wish i can go to S.H.E's concert the following weekend as well, because i so wanna see Fahrenheit. HAHA! :x

Y Birthday Post.

ah, i had one of the best birthdays yesterday. really. :)

met up with ah dong at Raffles during his lunch break, and he treated me lunch. everywhere we went, it's uber packed. and hoh, i realised a cute trend about those working people in Raffles. haha! during lunch, everyone actually used packets of tissue to chopped seats at everywhere (restaurants, cafes, hawker, etc). and nobody will dared to take your seat if you had a pack of tissue paper there! whoa, i'm impressed. it's really a cute trend. :x

went back home once ahdong's lunch break is over. thanks for the treat, kor! although it's simple, but it's heartwarming enough. :) i got home at 3pm, and took a short nap till 4ish before prepping to meet kengey. yes, i was really sleepy as i had insomnia the previous night. :(

met up with kengey at 5.30pm at khatib before we took the train down to dhoby ghaut. kengey had reserved "a table for 2" at Fish&Co for 6.30pm, thus we had some time to spare before going over. went to shop around at Dhoby Xchange and This Fashion, before we crossed over to the restaurant.

when we entered the restaurant, we were directed to a table and... i saw all my friends there! those present were li'e, lee hong, froggie, yun, kimmy, jie hao and neth! gasps* i was so shocked (tho i didn't really expressed it out) to see all of them lah! initially, i was so depressed and disappointed that my bestfriends in poly had forgotten about my birthday and hadn't uttered a single word about anything. i was EVEN more sad when li'e called me the day before asking me about some bus thingy, and had mentioned NOTHING about my birthday. i swear i was really heartbroken then.

BUT...

thank you guys for turning up! teehee. :D

actually, i should have guessed they gonna surprise me this way. there were too many loopholes already, and yet i hadn't realised them. just because i trusted kengey that she wouldn't re-use a surprise (she did this for kimmy last year too). lol! there were some loopholes which i should had thought of in the first place already man. for example;

1. ahdong mentioning about kengey sms him this afternoon (but thank goodness he twisted his words well)

2.zeee's sms regarding kengey asking if she's free tonight and that she's sorry she's not free (i didn't suspect anything, because i though kengey had asked her to join the 2 of us or something)

3. and lastly, lye hong's message about she can't make it and wants us to enjoy (that one is very suspicious, but the message came too late for me to realise anything).

hahaha!

after clarifying all my doubts with them, we ordered and had our dinner. i ordered fish&chips for myself, and the serving is big. yummylicious! :D

mmm.

even yun, the seafood-hater (especially fish!) tried the fish and chips! haha.

YUM!

everyone were enjoying the meal, till after i came back from the ladies with all the gals except li'e. when i returned to my seat, li'e presented to me a birthday cake from everyone! awww, muacks! :)

teehee! everyone sent me a birthday song, and they even got the live band to sing along! and finally, i was treated the way yun was treated back in hardrock cafe few months back (the only difference was that i don't have any cute ang mor around singing bday song for me)! one the staffs of fish&co got me to stand on a chair holding a firecracker stick, and everyone sang me another louder birthday song. omg, i was trembling already lah!

caught this at 9.55pm. kick ass hilarious! hahaha, we had a good laugh in the theatre man! the show made me itch for some mahjong soon. haha! wells, i'll rate it 3.5/5, because the show's kinda lame. took the train back home aftermath. :)
