Y watching as it turn to dust

happy 42nd birthday, Singapore!

do you miss those days when everyone gotta be in either red or white at school? do you miss those morning parade by the uniform groups on the 8th August? do you miss the national day concert at school? and most importantly, do you miss the half-day off from school so very much?!?

time is different now. we no longer have half day off on National day eve. we no longer have long weekend, which we gotta sacrifice our annual leave just to have that now! we no longer have to wear red or white to work. we no longer hear "Squad, insert-command" in the parade square early in the morning. and also, we no longer have to sing the national anthem and recite the pledge.

that's pretty sad, isn't it? :/

so how was your National day? i spent mine shopping at Parkway Parade. i used to frequent there when i was a kid, as my granny used to stay near that area. today, that place had upgraded so much. it's almost like a shopping heaven!

sigh. siao char boh just head off to Bintan today. if only i've a partner, we'll probably be able to double date there right woman? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! 4 days without talking to this mad woman makes me feel so ... odd. but peaceful as well! hahahahaha! kidding. take care and enjoy your short getaway.... without meeeeeeeeee!! wails*
