Y Pissed Off!
hate it when i see cabs everywhere, when i don't need one.
and none appeared when i needed one!
this is the 3rd time for the year.
during my prom night. last week. and today! psssst.
i've some really indecisive and insensitive friends.
can't you just give me a definite answer, instead of saying you'll call back later, which you never.
i don't have the whole night to wake for your call. you better not call me early in the morning tomorrow, as you jolly well knows i'm light sleeper! i need my sleep on a saturday morning!
but hell, you haven't tell me your answer and how am i gonna i follow up? geez.
and i so hate to have such insensitive friends for not being mindful of my feelings! :(
nonetheless, i had a great time eating chilli crabs and laughing around with my colleagues earlier on. and also, i hope tomorrow's class gathering will be a good one.
hopefully, i'll be less pissed after tonight. dang!

Happy 3rd, W01! :)
we've said to meet up yearly at this day, but reality ain't perfect. people come and go/drift away. from a big group of W01, the strength reduces to the small number of the usuals. well, that's good enough. life with you people in my life makes me really contented.
can't wait to meet up with you people this weekend! :D

speakin' of which, i really missed my poly days. i know i've been saying that lots of times already, but i don't know why, this feeling is extremely strong right now. i missed those times, when everyone seems so real and happy.
do you guys remember the Human Pyramid we formed during our orientation?

do you guys remember the class chalets, night cycling, etc?
do you guys miss the Canteen 3 Da Pau as much as i do?
i know we gotta keep on moving ahead, and not to continue living in the past.

school days are definitely better. at least for me.

Y OCH Expedition Part II
2 days of weekend just pass me by this way. just got back from my driving lesson, and i'm gonna do some stuffs after this. o yay, INITIAL D is airing on channel U tonight! i've watched that umpteen times and yet i'm never sick of it. edison chen! jay chou! shaun yue! loads of eyecandies, and cool drifting. hahaha.
well, this has got to be the most 'exciting' weekend i had for the past 1 month. guess what? i joined the guys to more touring last night. han de forked out another 80 bucks to extend the car rental to one more day, and thus, we went out last night.
jason, martin, han de and han de's friend, marcus (of all names -_-), came and pick me up at 7.30pm and we went to Lavender for dinner. for the whole night, i sat in the front passenger seat, and was talking about all the cars stuffs with martin. i don't know why, i just seem to be so interested with all the automobile stuffs lately.
jason left to meet his friends after dinner, whereas the rest of us drove to Changi Village to OCH again. this time round, we tried to drive up the hill, hence we don't have to enter OCH via that steep and uneven stairway. however, the route up the hill was pitch dark, and martin had to use high beam headlights. we parked the car near the balcony, with the headlights switched on, so that we won't lose our way or something.
frankly, last night wasn't as scary as friday night. probably because jason wasn't there to tell us stuffs to 'add on' the effects. haha! we ventured into OCH, exploring each and every corner. we didn't manage to find the mortuary though. in fact, after reading articles from the net, i realised there's many parts of the OCH which we didn't came across with. and oh, although the hospital has been abandoned for years, there's still a very strong medicine smell in it.
i wasn't scared by the place, but by the darkness of the place. each time han de and marcus walked ahead, i constantly turned to make sure martin's still there with me. oh btw, we had 2 torchlights and one of which is held by me. han de actually wanted to take some pictures, which he got me to bring my digital camera. and my digital camera's battery died on us when we were about to snap the first picture. haha! in the end, we made use of martin's K800i to snap away. we were like some documentary channel reporters lah. lol.
this graffiti is so funny! the moment martin saw this, he exclaimed 'my former school's principal!'. haha! some people must have hated this principal so much, that they vandalised the wall with 'OW KOK BENG (insert-pig-head) PRSS. OWE $ PAY $'. LOL.
fret not! nobody else is taking this for us. martin set timer for it. lol.

luckily martin kept reminding me to shine the torchlights to the ground instead of the front, if not i'd probably fall right into this big hole. phew*

let's look at the exterior of the OCH block. btw, OCH is very huge with many blocks, and we only went to one of the blocks. some other blocks has got CCTV camera, which we didn't dare to risk getting caught for trespassing.
this was how dark that place was. the light beam is actually from our car's headlights.
that's all for OCH visuals. spooky huh? when i got home, i did some researching, and look at these articles which i've found.

after reading that, i realised there's many other areas which we didn't came across. like the mortuary and torture chamber. i showed han de the sites, and he's keen to go for a 3rd trip next month! haha, that guy's insane! hahaha.
anyhow, here's some tips to share if you're interested in paying a visit to OCH.
- go in groups of even number. but, make it 4 or more.
- bring torchlights.
- never shine your torchlights into any mirror you see.
- never do any disrespectful acts when you're inside OCH, i.e: playing catching inside with your friends.
- don't run if you happen to 'see' anything. be normal.
- don't agitate any of the dogs, if you happen to see one.
- watch your step, 'cause you never know what you'll step onto OR into.
- wear something comfortable. i wore shorts on friday, and i felt really chilly. so last night i became smarter and wore jeans instead.
- don't try, if you're unsure.
there's lots of precautions lah. just, be careful. :)

alright, after our OCH expedition, we drove on to the Changi Beach Park, hoping to see more transvestites. we saw lots of family camping there instead, so no transvestites spotted at all. we went strolling at the beach, watching airplanes flying above our heads. darn cool! went back to our car and continued driving. went to martin's place at Tampines to take his cable, as we want the pictures we took at OCH. haha! so while waiting for him, i took pictures of our 'love' for these 2 nights.
whee.
they sent me home aftermath, and i got home at 1ish.
although the trip seems spooky and all, but the company was great. we had said to go for more touring in future. probably next month. this time round, we'll split the cost of the car rental. haha! ah, back in those days, all we talked about was night CYCLING, and now, times has changed. we're talking about night DRIVE. hahaha. :)
too bad. too bad. LARLING AH, i think only you understand what i meant. haha! TOO BAD. :x

Y OCH Expedition Part I
aloha! i'm back.
the trip just now was so EXCITING! lol. too bad wei liang had to work tonight, if not he will join us too. it's the first time i joined the guys on such outings. they had thought i won't join because i'll be the only girl, but well, they're like my brothers and i'm their da jie so why not? if it's the past, i'll probably get li'e to accompany me, but i know she has got her committments now so yay. p.s: meet up soon, larling! :)
well, martin rented a blue Mazda 3 for 1 day. $80. sponsored by regular MATA, han de. hahaha! both of them came and pick me up at 10pm, before we vrooomed to Changi Village to meet Jason in his Xiao Huang bike. martin used to drive 80km/hr when i first took his car 2 months ago, but today, he went 120-130km/hr on CTE! woots.
nice number? 3344! lol.
while waiting for jason, we parked in the carpark checking out transvestites. what an eye-opener! haha. then martin became my instructor, and i tried driving around the carpark in his Auto transmission Mazda3! and i really meant around! hahaha. :x
we had Dim Sum supper together aftermath. han de's treat! jason ordered so much, and the total cost was $42! haha, all of us felt darn bloated after the heavy supper! haha. after which, we went ahead with our OCH mission. it was han de's crazy idea by the way. we drove along this empty+eerie+dark road at high speed (120-130km/hr). windows winded down. music blasted. BUT, it was still darn chilly. i wonder how jason stand it on his bike. goosebumps! hahaha.
once we got our car/bike parked, we went into OCH via this long, dark and uneven stairs making use of our 4 pathetic handphone lights. jason had been there before, and he was telling what to expect inside and all. the only thing that i'm most afraid of was the 4 dogs he mentioned. hahahaha! well, i stayed close to martin while han de and jason walked ahead of us. it was damn eerie, i tell you! once we entered the hospital, it was pitch dark! that place's really old and shabby. i swear i had goosebumps when i passed by the toilet beside the so-called balcony. han de was damn daring! he walked ahead of us and into the SAF wards, which was said to be the most dirty ward in OCH. there were scribbles all over the wall, and "wires" hanging from the ceiling.
we decided to turn back aftermath, because we felt we weren't fully armed. we need torchlights, amulet, garlic and whatnot. and so, han de suggested a second trip tomorrow evening! i'll see if i'm game enough to join them again tomorrow. hahahaha. i can't believe i agreed to go when han de asked me just now! they were shocked too.
drove to Yishun Dam aftermath. the place where i used to have my driving lessons at. haha, and so THAT was how that place looks like at night. lots of bikers and racers around. got to see all kinds of cars and bikes there. we were joined by fabian&co - and that makes us with 1 car and 4 bikes. haha! the guys were talking about bikes and those NFS stuffs. (eadric!! i know what NFS stands for liao!!! :x) well, i don't know most of them there, so i was really quiet throughout. martin and han de thought that was so NOT me. hello, i can be quiet too as well okie. :D
martin kept mentioning about Lancer to me, till i told him that i'm really over. haha. then han de and martin seems so eager to get me a boyfriend. they kept introducing guys to me. tomorrow han de wanna intro me another guy. he's crazy. -_-
alright, i'm gonna hit the covers now. uber tired!
gonna sleep till no government tomorrow, before waking up to do some stuffs and probably going cruising with the guys again.

Y All work and no play makes Joanne a dull girl. :)

i've been so busy (and tired) since monday. i feel time's really not enough! i need more time in hand to get some things done. and so, i decided to keep my weekend free from anything else to stay at home and do stuffs which i didn't manage to find time to do.
well, i feel that recognition somewhere, somehow. way to go, jo! less than 3 months more to confirmation! :)

alright. all work and no play make ME a very very dull girl, so i met up with the F(ANATICS)4 - eadric, ah dong, yun and me, last night for a fantabulous singing session at Woodlands Partyworld. hahaha.
i think yun's crazy. she chose SHIN's songs, and started singing, or screaming? haha. the guys joined her too. i think one day, those singers from SHIN will die of mic choking. well, we had so much fun singing, though i felt sleepy after 10pm - my bio clock's asking me to sleep. haha!
this is the legendary eadric. EAD! now i remember how you looked like liao. hahahaha!
should have asked yun for the 'golden teeth' pix of dong and post here! hahaha!
and so we sang till 12am, before ead sends all of us home in his MURANO. wheeee. big car. with really cool talking GPS installed in it. hahahaha. i used to think someone needs that to be installed in his car so badly. but ahh, heck, none of my business anymore.

got home at 12ish. turned in at 1ish.

Y Dainty Design Masks
yahoooooo. my first spree loots has arrived. dainty design facial masks from taiwan! cheap and popular! the spree organiser is damn efficient! even delivered the loots to my mailbox personally. and the handling fees is only 50cents!
i'm thinking whether to get the cucumber eye mask too. darn, this is addictive! hahaha.
right, i'm off to pamper myself with one of the masks. larling, go make your orders soon! this is highly recommended! =)

Y Everything felt like yesterday.
HAPPY PAPA DAY!!
HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO KIM!
HAPPY BELATED 20TH BIRTHDAY TO JAE (16th june)!!
yesterday ah dong, neth and kengey were at my place the whole day. we played 4 rounds of mahjong till 1.30am, with dinner break in between. it's been months since i had my hands on the tiles, so that explains my lousy games. i lost a whoppin' amount of $18. the 2 guys 'tok' kengey and i, because they both won our moolahs. booo. LOL!
more mahjong please? :)

i'm at that point in my life where things are neither good nor bad. it could be better, but it could be worse and i can't look at anything with a pure pessimistic or optimistic point of view. it's that point in life where you just have to forge forward and hope for the best. you keep your fingers crossed in hopes of someday catching that happiness you tried so hard to hold in your grasp. that's the thing about happiness, it is fleeting. like that firefly you try to capture and no matter how many times you waver, try to clasp it in your hands, but it never wants to be kept. keep one foot in front of the other and move along, because someday that firefly will find its way to you...
was back tracking my entries and i realised how much we have grown and changed. it's amazing how time flies and how slow things seem to be forgotten and felt like yesterday yet feels like 100 years away. i'm missing the good old times and the silly things we used to do.
sec sch: chasing one another along the corridor, from toilet to 4m1 to 4m2. pulling pony tail. writing letters. hiding in the toilet. morning breakfast at the coffeeshop before school. being late for school, which we ended up having to run that bloody slope for rounds. having long fringe which in the end got chopped off by mrs tan. fret about Os only few weeks before the actual paper. hanging out at CWP after school. bringing HP to school despite we're not allowed to.
poly: atrium teriyaki sandwiches. mcmuffin breakfast. surfing net and msn in class. skipping lectures. class chalets with w01. night cycling. escape theme park trip with girlies. rushing for assignment datelines. cracking jokes with my friends. rushing to work after school. and our BIGGEST achievement in NP - selling ice cream for our IS assignment and earning profits!!! from planning it, sourcing it to implementing it, we did it all by ourselves!
ya'll know. all that felt like yesterday. 28th june, w01's 2nd anniversary and han de's 19th birthday celebration at Mount Faber felt like last month, and we're actually celebrating our 3rd year and han de's 20th birthday in 2 weeks' time!! look at how this 1 year had passed us by this way!
time flies. and it's already JUNE of 2007! another few more months, and we'll be approaching 2008! don't you think time passes us so quickly, that it's kinda scary?
dreams stashed twice. disappointed and lost hopes twice.
once bitten, twice shy. thrice means i'm really stupid.
so yeah. changed of goals. move on~ oh move on~
that can wait, something's else more important right now. :)
i can't wait for school to start!

Y Graduation 2007
finally, my graduation post. :)
it felt real good to be back in the campus, which i used to dread going every morning. together with my girlies, we changed into our graduation attire before reporting to the LT for the briefing. all of us were seated according to our surnames, and fortunately, i sat in between people i know - jason and pei wen. haha!
VIPS, lecturers, guests, and us, graduands were seated in the convention hall before the ceremony commenced at 9am. ICT director, angela wee, gave a opening speech, before the real thing began.
my IHP friend, pei wen. i think i looked funny here, because.. HAHAHAHA! :x
when it was my turn to go up to the stage, i had this strong urge to pee! hahaha. and i kept complaining that to jason and pei wen. well, the robe seems to be giving me so much problem, especially when i'm getting up the stairs. irritating! haha.
we followed closely to the procedures. i was so afraid that the announcer will pronounce my surname wrongly, but thank god he didn't! heehee. our director, angela wee, gave me my scroll, and congratulated me, but i can't remember if i've said 'thank you'! hahahaha. too excited already. :x
i can't wait to receive my photograph, which i've paid 5bucks for, from the school! :D
know what? 2007 ICT top graduate is none other than our dear Yi Peng with a wonderful GPA of 3.94 and 31 distinctions!!! all of us feel so proud of him, because he's our classmate. hahaha! he even represented the whole cohort to deliver a speech. and man, he actually mentioned 'class chalets and night cycling'! awwww. :)
i only remembered to take a video of his speech when he's already in the middle of his speech!
there was a tea reception after the ceremony. li'e and i went to look for our parents together, as her mom and sis, and my folks hanged out together throughout the whole thing. heehee. :) well, the convention was very crowded aftermath, but that didn't deter us frm taking pictures! :D

anyway. after the ceremony, we went to return our attires, before waiting for han de to come back to school. wei liang and jason went off first. at about 1pm, jason came back to pick han de us, whereas li'e, froggie, lye hong and i took a bus to town to meet with the rest. oh ya! jason got his bike licence already! after 4 attempts. haha, oops. well, we made him bring us around the campus in his 'xiao huang'! so niceeee. so shiok.
haha!
well, went to meet up with wei liang, martin and the rest at Cineleisure aftermath. we sat in LJS for hours talking. wei liang and i were exchanging our sob stories. right, not sob stories, more like granite. we were both angry people. we actually talked for 1hour with some commercial breaks from jason and han de in between. haha!
received ah dong's sms, and he was nearby so he came to join my classmates and i. had wanted to go Kbox, but because han de has to book in in the evening, so we opted for a movie instead.
fantastic 4 - rise of the silver surfer! been waiting for this for so long, and man, it rocks! 4.5/5 for this! chris evans is SO CUTE! hahahaha. totally worth my bucks. go catch it, peeps! :D
han de and jason left after the movie. so the rest of us went for dinner, followed by a few pool sessions at KPool aftermath. haha. :)
it's been a great great day. can't wait to meet up with you guys again soon - our 3rd anniversary. :)
