Y Eve of CNY Eve. :)
been really busy and tired these days. supposed to be out for dinner with Jae tonight, but i decided to postpone it, as i'm reallllly tired right now. moreover, i'm not ready to meet him! right, i'm just kidding about being not ready, but i just feel pretty awkward after not meeting up for so many years. haha!
during these 2 days of my training class, we attended the Customer Experience (CE) workshop which is pretty useful for our job. for the whole of yesterday, we had mr william soon as the presentor to guide us through the GST ('Greet', 'Smile' and 'Thank you') of a service provider. we even had some role plays here and there. haha! the presentor was pretty humorous, so it kinda prevents me from falling asleep in class. haha!
we had a 2-hour lunch break yesterday, as we had an assignment to work on, which is to patronize any cafes or shops to observe how the service providers of these shops worked. together with my clique of ladies, we went to the Raffles XChange and UOB Centre to shop around after having our lunch at Circular Road. and of cause, we won't give up the golden opportunity to do some SHOPPING! lol. and we presented our findings to the class after lunch, and the workshop goes on till we gotta knock off at 6ish.
heh. yesterday was my VERY first payday, so i decided to give my family and angelia a treat. went to Upp Thomsom for the famous chilli crab and some other dishes. despite being just recovered from food poisoning, i enjoyed the sumptuous meal very much. and the dinner cost a whopping amount of $90 odd! but it was all worthwhile. :)
after dinner, we went to the NTUC to do our CNY shopping. bought cartons and cartons of drinks and beer. i was pretty amazed by my energy anyhow. and i pitied angelia, as she had to help us last night as well. this shows that free meals don't come easily. WAHAHA! kidding! =)

as for today, we had a reallllllllllly interesting day! instead of going to the OCBC centre early in the morning, we had to do some 'Mystery Shopping' at different OCBC branches all over Singapore. that's actually part of our CE workshop. well, we had to choose any one branch to do observation on the tellers as well as the personal financial consultants (PFC) in pairs. and the good thing is, we get to dress down today! and most of us wore our jeans! haha. connie and i chose to go to the branch at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre which is just behind Paragon only, whereas Ashley and Beeleng chose the branch at the Specialists' Shopping Centre.
by right, we have to be at the branch before their opening (9am) so that we can witness their morning tradition, but connie and i had wanted to sleep in later so we decided to meet at 9am before making our way to the branch. hahaha! oh yeah, we can't reveal that we're actually internal staffs doing observation, hence connie and i acted as siblings helping our parents to enquire about some investment products. LOL!
first off, we went to the teller counter to get some red packets and asked some questions, before we got referred to the PFC counter, where the PFC talked to us about the unit trust investment. while she's yakking away about the product, i wasn't really paying attention. lol! we got the names of the PFC and teller, and that's for our final assessment later on. i bet they must be suspecting something. ohwells, they'll know about us sooner or later. :)
after all our enquiries, we left the bank and went to meet up with ashley and bee leng at Centrepoint where we had our breakfast. went shoppinggggggggggggggggg after that! we had loads of time to kill anyway, since we only have to be back at the OCBC Centre at 1pm, and it was 10am then. :x
i eyed on a pair of Levis jeans, but decided not to splurge on that now. instead, i bought an electric blue MNG top, which i totally love. :) shopped till 12ish before taking the train back to the centre to claim our transport fees. lol, damn shiok.
had our debrief session, and we were told to wait for further instruction. nobody came to entertain us, so we took some pictures together since it's our last day of training. UNLESS, we have to meet for retest on the 22nd. i have yet to know my results though. :/ and we're having a grooming session on the 26th, and an orientation thingy in April. will be heading back the branch after CNY to start my on-the-job training before i'm allowed to open a counter myself. i'm kinda worried liao... :/

anyhows, all of us decided to wait till 3pm to see if anybody's gonna entertain us. in the end, no trainers turned up so we decided to dismiss ourselves. hahaha! took the train to meet my folks at Bishan, as my dad was there to pick my mom up from work. took the car and off we went to Chong Pang to the market before coming back home for dinner. oh yeah, my dad actually got me a authentic LV coin purse. lol! i'd prefer a COACH one instead. but heck, since it's free. :)
tomorrow's the eve of the CNY, and i have lots of things lining up for me to do. it's gonna a busy day tomorrow. reunion dinner and all... wheeeee! Happy CNY to all Chinese in advance! =)
