Y 大年初一
大年初一 just whizzed past like this. actually i'm just taking CNY as a great deal of rest from work, as it's pretty much the same yearly. i've decided to be with my family this new year, since i pretty much do not care about getting ALOT of red packets. just that few from my relatives will do. :)
ohwells, i just wanted that, since now the visit to uncle kok hwa's crib this coming tuesday has been cancelled. li'e and jing xuan can't make it. yun's grandma just past away recently, so she's not able to go visiting and all. hence, you can't expect me to go there with zhi ling only right! so yay, decided to call it off, and probably stay at home to celebrate my brother's birthday with his friends and my family. and yun, no worries ya. i won't blame ya. =)
right, side-tracked too much. :) got up at 8am this morning, and my family and i got dressed in our new clothing before heading out. it's the same yearly - visiting chu ying aunty, my grandpa then to my granny's at Woodlands. and as usual, numerous questions regarding Boyfriend were asked... -_-
my get-up for da day. loved my 2inch heels lots. :)
received some bad news while i'm at my big uncle's place. sigh, i didn't expect that and it's really sad to know that. ohwells, life's full of unwanted surprises anyway. oh yea by the way! my old block (the one my grandpa and big uncle are staying now; we used to owned the 11th storey when my family were staying there) actually had the lift upgraded! so amazing. hahaha. :x
we stayed at my my big uncle's till about noon before setting off to Woodlands. i've a huge family, and we are always gathered at my granny's during the 1st day of CNY. my family got there pretty late, and most of them are already there when we got there. went in, shook everyone's hand (till my hands were numbed), and received ALL the red packets at one shot. haha, shiokness. no additional red packets this year, since no new couples as of yet. lol!
we had our lunch before starting our gamble den! that's the norm every year. but then, we played something more special this time round. uncle gary actually brought some entertainment toys for everyone to play. we played BINGO and Big Small, and i lost some money in both games. everyone, young and old, big and small, took part in the games. we had so much fun. :)

my granny's place is small and some of us wanted to play mahjong, so we decided to move on to my aunt's place which is just few blocks away. left my granny's and head over aftermath. we had 2 tables mahjong and 1 table of Big 2 sessions going on there. it's like some gambling den over at my aunt's. haha!
played mahjong with my brother, my cousin (jolene/ivan) and aunt celeslyn. sat at the mahjong table for hours playing 2 rounds, and my back's aching soooo much now! worse thing is that, i lost $16! :( bad day to play mahjong. i hope my luck will return tomorrow! huat ar~ lol!
finished our games at 10ish before heading back home. let's hope tomorrow will be a great day at uncle henderson's, at Woodlands too. :)
