Y Nothing to be afraid of
did i just saw you today? Labels: Work
...i think i did.
anyhows. today (monday) was my first day working at Ritz Carlton, together with yun. i felt so noob being in that place, but i'm really glad to have yun bringing me around guiding me. she even introduced some of her friends there, and they sure are a bunch of friendly people. =)
over at Ritz, the working procedure is basically rather similar to Conrad. today's function was an Indian wedding buffet reception. i've been working in this line for quite some time already, and today was the first time i see an Indian wedding! it's pretty interesting with all those trees-dancing songs played most of the time, and at the end of the reception, the guests hit the dancefloor and boogie to the trees-dancing music. lol!
ohwells. the people there were rather friendly and approachable. i managed to make a couple of friends on my first day already. teehee. as for eyecandies, there wasn't many around over at Ritz, except one. the part-time captain who took all the new staffs on orientation. teeheeheehee. overall, i think my new collegues are friendly. i even met junda while waiting for the transport.
knocked off at 12mn, and my new friend, wartini, guided me the punching out and collection of pay procedures. she had to lead me because yun had stayed behind to do overtime. hmm. since long ago, Ritz transport system was a shared one with Conrad, so i'm still pretty alright with the procedures. just that there's some changes to the routes, which i didn't notice until much later. usually those who stays in Yishun will take route 2, which i wrote my name under that list. who knows it's actually route 6 now! dammit, so i missed that 12.30am transport and had to wait for the 1.30am one. sat around with my new friends at the smoking bay while waiting.
and as expected, after picking up Ritz's staffs, the transport will pick up the Conrad's staffs over at the loading bay. lots of mixed emotions gushed through me when the van entered Conrad's loading bay. awww, how i missed that place. and i did saw a few familiar faces, but 80% of them are new faces which i've never seen before. phoebe saw me, and we talked a little before my van moves off. sms-ed with her a little, and that made me miss her so much. =\
sigh. i got home at only 2.30am. bathe and i just finished watching an episode of Shen Qing Mi Ma. that show rocks big time. =D
off to hit the sack. goodnights!
