Y it's all about my second home, CONRAD, today. (=
as my post title has stated, my day was basically all about my previous workplace, also my second home - CONRAD! speakin' of which, i really miss that place and the people back there so much. li'e and i were even thinking of going back there again for a visit OR work for a day there? hmm, the latter was pretty unlikely though.
anyhows. early in the morning, while walking towards pan pac for work, this uncle behind me suddenly said this in a not very nice manner to me. "walk faster lah.". that time we were near the escalator in City Link that time. i turned behind and guess who was that? BROTHER JIMMY! lolol. he's an uncle actually, but because he's not married yet so i called him brother. and he's one of the security in conrad! brother jimmy was another security uncle whom we always fool around with. other than uncle kok hwa. teehee! well, he was on his way to work and so were li'e and i. and since conrad and pan pac were beside each other, so we walked to work together. we were told that mark has resigned and he will be leaving after IMF. AND.. jovin has been promoted to take over his position as assistant director! gasps* i was taken aback by that news lah. mark was one of the best managers around loh. ): and i still owed him a treat to chong pang nasi lemak! lol. :x and now i wonder who's gonna be promoted to take over jovin as senior banquet manager. doubt it'll even be wilson, no? shrugs*
right, went our seperate ways when we reached our respective hotels. work today was pretty slack for us. there weren't many guests. and i think there were less than 20 guests, plus all came at a pretty slow pace. haha! li'e and i were damn bored that we stood around, chit-chat, read the papers/magazines, watch CNN, eat, eat and eat. we ate alot today lah! LOL. and then we were released at 12pm. went to take the train back home to get some stuffs and got changed before heading out again. and oh, this time round when we were on our way to the mrt station, we bumped into one of the conrad's captains, steve!!!! hahaha. he still looked pretty much the same. (=
came home, showered and got ready to head out to somerset to meet li'e, yun and xiao ming at 2ish. we were deciding which promos to choose for K-singing at Kbox (cine). in the end, we decided to wait for 7pm before we went to sing.
then we were informed that ge jing and beng san (with their friends) were at partyworld @ orchard celebrating beng san's birthday. that's when we decided to pop by. we called up samantha who was on her way back to partyworld from conrad. they bought beng san the famous royal hazelnut birthday cake from conrad. hahaha! that's the cake that's usually sent to the newly-wed couples' room after each wedding dinner. (=
beng san didn't know we were dropping by, and he didn't know about the cake. and so, the cake and US is a surprise to him "planned" by ge jing. haha! i think we did surprised him when we went into the room they were in. haha! ge jing brought the lighted cake to him, and we sang him songs. took pictures blah blah. AND, when ge jing and li'e meet, they totally yak yak yak non-stop! hahahaha. as usual. =x we did some catching up with each other, and listened to them sing. we didn't sing because we were waiting for our night time's session. (:

heh. we sat around before leaving to meet zhi ling at 5ish. frankly speaking, i was really scared to see him. i mean, i hate the way he looks at me since long long long time ago. that's why today i tried all means to avoid seeing him or any sorts. of cause i didn't make it too obvious lah. and it's been too long already lah. riight..

and i let them go after awhile. =x

had our dinner at the food court before started k-singing at 7pm. there were only 6 of us, and before that, we tried asking quite a few more people to join us. even those non-conrad ones we asked too. lol. but none of them seems to be able to make it. ):
nonetheless, k-singing was FUN! i totally went berserk with li'e. we kept doing the "kim sam soon dance" and sang songs like Ying Chun Hua, the CNY song! hahahaha! despite my sore throat, i still sang quite a number of songs. towards the end of our session, we had a peanut war. LOL! we started throwing peanuts all around and created a total mess can. we started aiming peanuts into yun's cleavage (oops) and at xiao ming. hahahaha! we were laughing and screaming and dancing and whatnot.
we sang till 10ish, foot the bill and left for home. haha! it had been a pretty fun outing, and i hope there'll be more of such outings in future, with more of our ex-collegues present. ((: took the same train as xiao ming and samantha. xiao ming alighted at AMK, then me at khatib before samantha's on her own to CCK. haha! had a loooooong chat with samantha. awww, i really missed conrad so much. =\
sorry for the rather-broken entry, because i'm uber tired now. still waiting for my hair to dry before i tuck in. haha. luckily i don't have to go to school tomorrow. =D
and now. i lost my voice again. coughs*
