Y back to Meritus! =)
my feet and shoulder are aching like a bitch. and i'm beginning to whine like one too. haha! :x
it's been more than a month since i last worked at Meritus. tonight i worked at 5pm - 11.30pm with li'e. the function was tanjong katong secondary school graduation dinner and dance at mandarin court level 4. the captain in-charge were ben and wai seng. haha! wai seng just wouldn't stop disturbing li'e and i. he kept thinking i'm li'e's girlfriend, if you get what he meant. but hey, he's joking okay. lol!
had our briefing and wai seng assigned us tables. due to the shortage of staffs, everyone had to take 2 tables each, instead of the usual 2 person to 3 tables. li'e, yi ai and i stick to one another all the time. oh ya, yi ai is my secondary school junior and also chia wei's girlfriend. haha, MSL reunite? and yay, the 3 of us got tables nearby and hence, we shared one side station and worked as 3 person to 6 tables instead. it was like whoa. =D
we prepared our stuffs before the guests came streaming in. it's been quite some time since i worked, so certain things i can't remember and had to get li'e to refresh my memory a little. haha! dinner began aftermath, and everything was super smooth. fortunately, i remembered how to portion soup and de-bone the fish and braised chicken! lol. we helped out one another, and were practically in our own world! li'e and i managed to eat some prawns and abalone today! what an achievement ya. and we were looking at all the students' dressing over there. some were overdressed whereas some dressed way too simple. haha! tsk.
we took turns carrying the rectangular trays. and 'cause i've not been carrying that for quite a long time, so it hurts while i carried some today. and the aftermath was worse! my left shoulder's very painful now. gotta apply some ointment later on. =s anyways, we worked pretty fine together today. left to collect my pay and get change at 11.30pm before catching the train back home.
anyhows. it feels good to be working in Meritus again. that's the second best workplace, after Conrad. haha!
oh ya, li'e and i went back to pan pac to collect pay today before going to work. hahaha! city hall is back to normal! it's no longer a ghost town like it used to be during the IMF period. haha! and it feels really nice to be able to step into suntec convention and also to take bus from the convention bus stop. LOL! byebye ghost town. :x
and now i gotta wait for my hair to dry now before i turn in. gotta work 7am at pan pac tomorrow morning. (: goodnights!!
P/S: there's one particular show that i wanna catch. and for once, i don't wanna download it online. li'e and i had decided to "find some life" and watch at a cinema. probably next week. and the show is jackie chan's new movie - Rob-B-Hood. yahoooooooooooooooo! =D
