Y flutters*
yoyo. i'm now in my ECAD practical class, and it's freakin' cold right now. heh, forgot to bring my sweater. gotta endure this freeze till 4pm before i'm able to go homeeeeeee! after the 2 weeks break, my brain had seemed to hibernate, and the VB codings seem so foreign now. hah! anyhows, got back my QLA common test paper this morning and i scored a grade of C+ - 69 out of 100. damn, some parts i've expected them to be right turns out to be my mistakes! i was actually surprised that i scored full marks for my most feared section on linear programming. wahaha, tyco-ness. ohwells, shall work harder the next time round. guess the lab test is coming real soon.
during my 2hour lunch break earlier on, froggie and i joined the rest of our classmates in canteen 3. we discussed about tomorrow's outing over lunch, and we're all oh-so looking forward to the 8course dinner we gonna have at Mt Faber!!!!! =D and we can't wait to see the surprised han de tomorrow, as we're giving him a birthday surprise. he's really fortunate to have us as his classmates. lol! hmm, during the 2nd hour of our break, all of us went into an empty classroom to slack while waiting for our next lesson to begin. i watched the new anime han de lent me - School Rumble. soooo cuteeee!!! hahaha. all of us were basically doing some pirate jobs in the room, extracting shows after shows, and watching the anime on my laptop. lol! :x
OH! haven't i said meritus hotel rocks? haha. li'e and i are so gonna stick to working there. lu hua and phoebe are most probably joining us there as well. the working system is somewhat similar to hilton's, but slightly easier! and the people there rocks peanuts. haha, they're really friendly and nice. they're very willing to teach you, unlike hilton's staffs, they tend to bully 'new birds'. in meritus, they see all new staffs as equal. they will only asked if you've experience, and they won't care which 5star hotel you were from! nobody asked us last night where we came from! haha. what made me even more happy was that, my primary school best mate was working there too!!! stanley fung! haha, what a small world. he's an old bird there, with 3 years experience somemore. he told me his girlfriend's working at conrad now! haha, duh.
right, everything's pretty straightforward there. we helped abit with the setting up of the room, before we had our briefing at 6ish. the captains wore the same kinda uniforms as us. oh, everyone wore pants at work, including girls. haha, cool right? no need to wear stockings anymore. lol! the uniform is smart too. lol.
one of the captains assigned us to our partner and tables aftermath. initially, i was put to partner stanley, and he guided me really well. while working, we catch up with each other a little too. haha! after awhile, i was swapped to partner another guy - benjamin. he's funny lah! he kept saying that my first day only already taught me how to "eat snake". haha.
oh, i scored 39/50 for ECAD test. hahahahaha, okay lah. :x
i'm back! and yay, so i was saying benjamin was teaching me how to "eat snake". haha, yay! he's always smiling one. answered every of my doubts, and i hope he won't find me a nuisance. hahaha! wells, in meritus, we can take soft drinks to the backlane to drink openly!! we're allowed to do that! unlike conrad, we're allowed to drink chinese tea and tap water only. haha! over here, i even had the chance and time to look at the wedding couple! the groom sang guang liang's "yue ding" last night, and wah lao, nice!! melts* oh ya, their VIP server uniform sucks! so red! it's like a walking ang pau can. hahaha!
we ended work at 11.30pm last night. we received our pay on a daily basis! as in, immediately after work we can collect the money. haha, last night i earned $33+, 'cause it's $6.15/hour. haha! (: after collecting our pay, li'e and i went to change before strolling to Somerset to take train home. according to benjamin, only OT staffs can take their transport home. i'm okay with that, because the hotel is very near to the mrt station, unlike hilton. ((:
all in all, i'm so gonna stick to meritus and pan pac for now. finally, a piece of load off my mind about finding a suitable job. =D lately, i've been in a very good mood. i hope everything will go smoothly for the rest of my worries. (:
alright, off to watch School Rumble. it's so funny and addictive. toodles!! =D
