Y it's a bad bad month...
please please please. please let me see him for the last time tomorrow and next saturday. i didn't see him today and yesterday. i just wanna have one last look. is that too much to ask for? sighs*
work has been really tiring for me today. it wasn't as happy as last night, because blackie was around. but thank goodness it was sam who did the briefing. i liked the way sam worked, because he's much more organised than the other managers. jovin too. anyways, today's ballroom was really grand and pretty. black tablecloths with gold metallic runners, and red roses everywhere. gorgeous! i began "designing" the ballroom of my wedding dinner in future in my head. i've even thought of who to ask to be my emcee - kengey. hahaha! right, i've thought too far already, plus i don't even know if i'll ever find my soulmate at all. duh!
wells, sam gave me a partner who claimed that he's first day working in banquet! omigod, i was wishing myself goodluck at the beginning already. btw, sam mentioned about what happened (to luhua) last night to everyone, without mentioning names of cause (unlike dalland who did so to yun!!), during briefing. sigh, whatever sam said made me worried for lu hua even more. i just hope things won't get too ugly. and won't involve police. :/ went to serve cocktail aftermath, until 8pm when door opens.
i find my partner really irritating, because he kept asking stupid questions! i tried staying cool and answered his doubts patiently, until he finally got my nerve then i began talking to him in a slightly agitated tone. he walks like a ter ter! come on, we're all busy in operation and he still can stroll from side station to our tables and stroll to the bar. (read: stroll) i don't know if my chinese is too difficult to understand or what, 'cos what i said to him seems to be forgotten shortly after! i told him to wipe the side plates before bringing out because ramesh is walking around taking down names of those who did not do so. my partner wiped for the first few courses only! each time i portion, i've to wipe myself again. then he's always MIA, and god knows where the hell he've been to. i was glad to have berry and zhi ling helping me at times. my partner was so slow that berry had to come and help me portion for every courses! then everytime berry portion, i serve and my partner? MIA. !!!
towards the last few courses, i went to be runner myself. my face was all flushed from anger, and i was perspiring man. at the end, i couldn't find where's my partner after telling him to send the cake back to grand salon. when he's finally back, i asked him sarcastically if he just came back from africa. i know i was really unfriendly to him the whole night. he really got on my nerves. this is the 2nd guy i've opened my golden mouth to scold. damn, this dinner really tires me out as i've carried quite alot of oval trays.
dinner ended late at 11ish. did some clearing then first batch staffs went back at 12mn. and since it's sam in-charge and not that blackie, i decided to stay back. i cleaned susans and wiped 400 showplates with the other girls. until about 1am, sam sent me to help berry and zhi ling at 5th floor. helped to set up conference room 1 - 4. i was running up and down getting stuffs. then finally we finished everything at 2am. went to change and took the 2.30am transport home. on the way home, the cab i was in was stopped at yishun ave 4 for police check. there were me and another girl on the vehicle. the policeman told the driver to stop at the side, and the other girl and i were asked to get off the car to check our IC. the policewoman asked why were we home so late, then i explained to her that we just finished work at conrad hotel. they took down our particulars before letting us off. i think it's because so late already and we 2 girls were on a uncle's cab, so for our safety, they did the check. scary man.
it's 4.28am now already. i should be sleeping, but am still talking to lu hua. sigh, i'm so worried about what's gonna happen to him. according to him, wilson is trying to help him in this. i hope wilson will really help him. just hope finance don't freeze his pay on monday. if not free labour man! damn.. this month is really a bad month for so many people. particularly people around me, people i know. even he also lost his wallet and every cards and some cash last week. it's a bad bad month....
