Y i survived!
this splitting headache is killin' me. argh! zZz.
anyhows. i survived well alone at work today. =D met up with lu hua at bugis at 3ish, as he needed me to company him to check out thumbdrives over at sim lim square. you know what? i seriously think sometimes when i'm buying something, i don't usually walk more to find another one cheaper or nicer. i'd say that because the other time when i went with my parents to buy my thumbdrive, i bought one really chop-chop at the second shop i went. and TODAY, i walked into more than 10 shops with lu hua to find a Sony thumbdrive. guess what? i saw the exact same thumbdrive i bought at the price of $49!! 6bucks cheaper leh. my 1 hour pay. -_- okay nevermind. and when we finally found the sony one, it's 5bucks more than my one but it's MUCH MUCH MUCH more nicer can. argh! i've learnt my lesson now. gonna walk and look for more choices in future if i wanna buy something.
we've still got some time to spare, thus we went to eat laksa and shopped around before taking 960 to work. talked alot with lu hua today. and i just read the letter he wrote to her. so sweet lah! hopefully they'll be fine soon. (: haha, i thought i'll be so lonely without my girls working with me today, but it's still ain't that bad afterall, 'cause i've people like lu hua, xia yun, lulu, aunty jamie and samantha to keep me company. lol. :x didn't ate anything in the canteen today. went to the ballroom to report at 6pm aftermath. today steve calls all the shots man. haha! he did briefing and assigned tables to us, with ramesh's assistance at the side.
there were many potential VIP servers today. lu lu and i heaved a sigh of relief when steve chose tini and miza as VIP servers. we didn't want to be VIP servers because both tables weren't set at all! plus it's 12pax and 14pax today. i felt safe when i was put to partner tini's brother at south room. but i was so so so wrong. ramesh reshuffled most staffs, and in the end, ramesh put lu lu and i to be VIP servers. how unlucky can we get? -_-
but wells, it wasn't that bad lah. i enjoyed working with lulu being VIP, but not normal tables, mind you. :x we began settling the tables, fold napkins before we went to change into our orange cheong sum. door opens at 7ish, and dinner began. it was very smooth for us throughout, except that sam fired the courses out UBER FAST! it was hard for lulu and i to even catch our breath. haha! our guests were all cantonese speaking, and are really nice people. even the couple too. (: lulu seemed amazed that i'm able to communicate in cantonese. haha, why?
oh, de xiang dropped by conrad today. he's actually wilson's goodfriend. i've heard of him many times in the past, but we had never met. the other day, he found and added me on friendster. and because i remembered he's wilson's friend, so i didn't mind being friends with him. he's a funny guy lah. when he sms-ed me today, he knew i was working so he sorta dropped by. when i saw him, he was at the bar talking to wilson. we didn't talked because wilson was there lah. it's weird, you see. after awhile then i received de xiang's sms telling me he saw me. -_-" lol. ohwells, this kinda made me think of wilson's that bunch of sistas whom i tagged along with him in the past a few times to hang out with them. they're really nice people, but too bad it's hard for me to see them again. i especially like emma and joevi. i don't know why. :/
right, back on track. with the courses fired out so damn fast, the dinner managed to end by 10ish. ramesh gathered everyone at the back right after dinner, and he sent half of the staffs back home. only 15 of us stayed back. i stayed back of cause. steve was the turnover in charge. he's super nice lahhhhhh. haha! asked me clear flowers YET don't have to send down. clear linen with tini AND helped us out. there's hell lots of linen to clear lah. i was perspiring like nobody's business. after clearing the linen, he got me to change signage then walked around down chair covers for the theatre style. and then, that's it.
when i went back to the office, the guys and sam were spring cleaning the entire office lah. people were sweeping and mopping the floor man. so funny! and then, all of us were signed out at 1am. and i got changed before taking the 1.30am transport home.
tsktsk. today... i began trying out my new phone's camera. not that bad lah. =D
heh. and tomorrow since i won't be working and i've nothing else to do, i decided to head to the airport to fetch li'e. yay, she's coming back from the states. school's reopening on monday, remember? and yay, i've decided to let bygones be bygones and welcome her back home. (:
and now, i'm going to bed. dead beat. o.OzZz nights people~
